There’s a New Rug in Town

You may remember at the end of last year scoring a 75% deal from Rugs USA for a rug under our dining room table. I was ecstatic with the product and their service (hello free shipping for a rug!). So much so that I snapped up a Groupon for them. I spent $99 on $235 worth of credit. I had been scouring their online store for months but could never make up my mind on what type of rug I wanted for the other side of the Mego Cave. I wanted one for the desk/living area. Yet, since it is one big room with the dining portion already rugged up, I wanted it all to tie in. So at the nth hour when the Groupon was set to expire, I finally made a decision. It was a 8′ x 10′ flat woven grey herringbone. A classic look that would coordinate with the other rug. See?

Here it is down now. I love the size of it and how it adds some pattern and texture but it still subtle enough to work with the room, not against it.

Here are some detail shots to see the pattern a little bit more.

Now for the grand finale, a before and after shot.

In full disclosure, I actually don’t recommend using a Groupon for Rugs USA. They have such amazing sales pretty much all the time, when you use a Groupon you can’t use a sales coupon code with a Groupon and quite frankly, most of the time you can get a better price with the coupon code. But any way I got it, I am supremely happy with only spend $144 for a 8×10 rug.
